How It Works
Kizunae runs quietly in the background — learning your patterns and surfacing what matters, without any manual input.
The Core Loop
On first launch, Kizunae reads your contacts and — on Android — your call history. Nothing else. No message content, no recordings, no location. Just the metadata: who you called, when, and for how long.
You'll be shown a plain-language Trust Screen before any permission is requested. You can exclude specific contacts from tracking at any time.
Every relationship receives a Relationship Health Score from 0 to 100, computed entirely on your device. The model weighs four signals:
Scores are recomputed daily in the background and power every surface in the app — the Home screen, Social Garden, and Contact Detail.
For each contact, Kizunae builds a historical communication baseline (trailing 6 months). When the current gap exceeds twice your personal average for that person, drift is flagged.
Drift alerts are only generated when there are at least 3 historical data points — protecting you from false positives on new or occasional contacts. You can snooze any alert for 7, 14, or 30 days.
For every flagged contact, Kizunae surfaces actions that reduce activation energy to zero. One tap — and you're already in the dialer, in Messages, or in WhatsApp.
When you take an action, Kizunae records it — updating the contact's last-interaction date and recalculating their score. You can also mark a contact as "Reached Out" manually.
Every Sunday, a gentle push notification surfaces your Weekly Relationship Review — a snapshot of where your social health stands, and who needs attention this week.
The review screen shows counts by state with week-over-week deltas, and lets you take actions (call, text, snooze) directly without leaving the review.
Relationship States
Every contact is placed in one of five states. The colour is the message.
Built on Trust
